Job Description


This position will involve test management, planning and execution as part of a team which develops enterprise web applications to support the provision of the IT Asset Management service, primarily working on the ITAM Portal application.



Responsibilities:

  • Creation of test plans and corresponding test cases to ensure thorough testing of business requirements in a fast-paced Agile environment.
  • Test case execution, defect documentation and tracking, and regression through all system tiers. Triage management.
  • Proactively communicating with developers and business analysts to resolve issues or questions pertaining to test creation or execution.
  • Identify and effectively document a suite of test cases suitable for an automated regression test suite.
  • Accurate and timely status reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor level degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other IT field
  • 3+ years' experience with the full spectrum of functional Quality Assurance testing and systems development life cycles
  • 3+ years' experience in the implementation and deployment of enterprise-class applications
  • Extensive experience and participation in all types and stages of testing, including performance tests, usability tests, acceptance tests etc.
  • Experience with test management tools, including HP's Quality Center
  • Experience with tools and practices for automated testing (such as selenium)
  • Hands-on experience with testing-relevant tools and techniques, including web service testing and SQL.
  • Extensive experience in agile projects and of agile testing methods
  • Strong analysis skills, strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be highly organised and a good coordinator of group activities
  • Experience with IBM Rational Team Concert is desirable but not required, as the candidate will learn this as part of the job.
