    • Monitoring industry trends and innovations to maintain a competitive and resilient airline supply chain.
  • Team Leadership and Management:
    • Leading and managing multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams encompassing procurement, warehousing, logistics, inventory, and contracts management.
    • Facilitating comprehensive coaching and mentoring programs within the department and actively participating in crucial process improvement projects.
  • Sourcing and Vendor Management:
    • Managing strategic sourcing initiatives and leading high-stakes contract negotiations with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) providers, and other critical suppliers.
    • Establishing and nurturing long-term strategic supplier relationships and defining rigorous Service-Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Continuously monitoring supplier performance, ensuring ongoing compliance, and proactively managing supply chain risk.
    • Conducting detailed market research to inform strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensuring meticulous record-keeping and complete traceability of all materials and components.
    • Collaborating closely with Quality Assurance to effectively manage material non-conformances and product recalls.
    • Ensuring all activities strictly adhere to established organizational policies and procedures, keeping long-term strategic objectives in mind.
    • Upholding the consistent implementation of quality, safety, and security policies and procedures across all supply chain operations.
    • Ensuring full compliance with customs regulations, guidelines for handling hazardous goods, and international trade controls.
  • Financial and Operational Control:
    • Developing and rigorously controlling the annual budget allocated to the Supply Chain Unit.
    • Prioritizing the timely availability of materials to decisively prevent Aircraft on Ground (AOG) scenarios.
    • Supervising proper warehousing practices and comprehensive logistics management.
  • General Duties:
    • Undertaking any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the Technical Director.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this prestigious position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
