🌟 Project Background:
SARMAAN-II Expansion
In line with the continuing expansion of the Safety and
Antimicrobial Resistance Mass Administration of Azithromycin (SARMAAN) project,
the implementation scope is being extended to encompass Adamawa and Gombe
States in Nigeria. This critical health intervention involves the biannual
administration of Azithromycin to children within the 0–59 months age bracket
during the peak malaria transmission season. The project specifically targets
geographical areas identified as having elevated infant mortality rates. To
ensure comprehensive support for the forthcoming campaign across all Local
Government Areas (LGAs) within both Adamawa and Gombe States, the engagement of
dedicated support personnel is deemed necessary.
