The Role: Mid-Management Positions in the Federal Fire Service

The Board is actively recruiting suitably qualified candidates from Federal, State, and Local Governments' Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to fill the following crucial Federal Fire Service Mid-Management positions across Nigeria. These roles are essential for leading and coordinating fire safety, emergency response, and public protection strategies.

Statutory Requirements and Applicant Qualifications

Candidates must meet the stringent statutory and fitness requirements set forth by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) to be considered for these mid-management positions. The recruitment process targets employees currently serving in Federal, State or Local Governments’ Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

Essential Candidate Eligibility

  • Applicants must be current employees from Federal, State or Local Governments’ Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
  • Personnel of the Paramilitary Services are not eligible to apply.
  • The applicant must not have any criminal record.
  • Applicants must be free from any financial embarrassment.

Physical and Medical Requirements

  • Applicants must have a minimum height of $1.65$ metres for Males and $1.60$ metres for Females.
  • Applicants must be physically and mentally fit for service duties.
  • Applicants must possess a Medical Certificate of Fitness from a government-recognised hospital.

Required Documentation for Application

The application submission must include the following certified documents:

  • A Letter of Identification from the applicant’s Local Government of Origin.
  • Evidence of Confirmation of Appointment in their current service.
  • Three (3) years of APER/PMS (Annual Performance Evaluation Report/Performance Management System), as applicable to the applicant’s service.
  • A Certified True Copy (CTC) of the Record of Service.
  • Copy(ies) of letter of previous appointment(s).
