🎯 Role Description: Airport Service Executive

The Airport Service Executive performs a pivotal function within the airport environment, acting as a primary point of contact and an operational coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for a comprehensive range of duties that collectively ensure efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction throughout the passenger journey and ground handling process.

Main Accountabilities

The responsibilities associated with this executive position are multifaceted and include, but are not limited to, the following key areas:

  • Customer Service Excellence: Delivering the highest standard of customer service at all passenger and client touch points, proactively addressing inquiries and resolving issues with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Operational Coordination: Maintaining constant and effective liaison with various critical airport departments, including Check-in, Boarding Gate, Ramp, Cargo, and Lounge personnel, to ensure synchronized operations.
  • Administrative Oversight: Performing meticulous pre- and post-flight administration duties, ensuring all necessary documentation and procedures are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Baggage Management: Efficiently and empathetically handling all baggage claims, following established procedures to resolve issues swiftly for affected passengers.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring strict compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and relevant aviation regulations throughout all assigned tasks.
  • Supervision and Quality Control: Supervising the activities of service partners and third-party vendors to guarantee the smooth acceptance and transfer of passengers and cargo, maintaining SAHCO’s quality benchmarks.
  • Passenger Flow Management: Directing Arriving and Departing passengers clearly and effectively to respective areas, such as the Arrival Hall, Transfer Area, Departure Gate, or Executive Lounge.
  • Immigration and Security Checks: Diligently checking entry requirements (including visas, residence permits, and travel documentation) to ensure they are fully met, thereby mitigating risks and preventing potential delays.
  • Ad-hoc Duties: Performing any other duties assigned by the management to support the overall operational objectives of the airport service division.

🔍 Required Qualifications and Experience

SAHCO PLC seeks candidates who possess a strong foundation of academic knowledge, relevant professional training, and practical work experience in the aviation or related service sectors.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Educational Attainment: A minimum of an HND or BSc Degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or another relevant and related field from a recognized institution.
  • Professional Training: Completion of appropriate trainings in various Airport Operations Fields is highly desirable.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of verifiable work experience in the relevant airport operations or ground handling field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Core Competencies: Possessing excellent customer service skills is non-negotiable, along with strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
