Job Summary

The Cabin Crew Member plays a critical role in enhancing the passenger experience onboard every United Nigeria Airlines flight. This individual is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring passenger comfort, and maintaining the highest safety standards throughout each journey. The role requires professionalism, attentiveness, and the ability to respond effectively to passenger inquiries, operational demands, and unexpected situations.


Duties / Responsibilities

  • Maintains full responsibility to the Captain for all cabin safety procedures and compliance.
  • Operates under the guidance of the Purser to deliver seamless cabin service and uphold service quality standards.
  • Remains consistently updated on all United Nigeria Airlines safety procedures and remains licensed to operate on all aircraft types in the fleet. This includes the mandatory ability to answer a “SAFETY TALK” question before each flight.
  • Ensures a high-quality passenger experience by assisting travelers courteously, handling onboard concerns professionally, and collaborating with senior cabin crew to address emerging issues.
  • Ensures the safety and wellbeing of passengers assigned within their designated cabin area, including effective evacuation during emergencies.
  • Delivers all cabin services according to United Nigeria Airlines’ official Service Standards Manual.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Oversees assigned daily cabin workflow and ensures smooth operational activities.
  • Provides timely, constructive performance feedback when required.
  • Ensures strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relating to cabin safety.
  • Handles additional related duties as assigned by management.

Experience & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Previous experience in customer service is required and considered an advantage.

  • Excellent time-management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to remain effective, calm, and professional in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated sales and service-driven attitude.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds when required.
  • Good overall physical fitness and the ability to swim.
