About the Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Social Growth, the Global Social Strategy Lead will be responsible for a series of critical, high-impact functions:

  • Leading the global creative direction and establishing the overarching social strategy across the organization's numerous international markets.
  • Serving as the strategic editor-in-chief for all social content disseminated globally.
  • Mentoring and guiding international social teams to ensure the production of consistently high-impact, social-first campaigns.
  • Developing and implementing scalable resources, including playbooks, strategic frameworks, toolkits, and sophisticated experimentation models.
  • Driving performance for short-form and viral video content across key platforms, including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and X.
  • Guiding and establishing best practices for collaborations with influencers and content creators worldwide.
  • Conducting rigorous platform analysis to inform strategic decisions regarding platform investments, experimental initiatives, and overall scaling efforts.
  • Leading a dedicated global Viral Video Lab designed to systematically uncover the patterns and mechanics behind high-reaching social storytelling.

Change.org serves as the foundational home for people-powered change, championing causes that range from campaigning against war and famine (such as the mobilization efforts regarding Yemen) to supporting racial justice movements and responses to global climate disasters.   • Experience in building scalable frameworks and a history of successfully mentoring creative teams.
  • Hands-on experience in rolling out new social tools and conducting experiments with emerging AI technologies.
  • Experience operating within startup-style, fast-moving, and high-growth environments (preferred).

Location, Compensation, and Organizational Values

Location & Working Hours

This is a full-time, remote position. The organization expresses a strong preference for candidates who are geographically situated in the Eastern Time Zone (EST) to best support collaborative communication across multiple time zones and regions.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary structures at Change.org are based on an equitable, transparent pay scale determined by the cost of labor:
