💻 Role Description: Ensuring Seamless Technological Operations

The ICT Specialist plays a pivotal role in the institution's ongoing commitment to technological excellence and operational stability. The Specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth and continuous operation of the Bank's intricate Information Technology (IT) systems and infrastructure. This role is foundational to supporting all aspects of UBN’s digital and core banking functions, guaranteeing high availability and performance across all platforms.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with critical functions essential to the Bank's technological health:

  • Installation and Configuration: The Specialist is responsible for the professional installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the Bank’s diverse IT systems, networks, and peripheral equipment, ensuring they meet operational specifications and security standards.
  • Security and Compliance Management: This role involves rigorously enforcing data security protocols, managing robust data backup strategies, and ensuring strict compliance with both internal IT policies and relevant financial regulatory guidelines.
  • Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting: The Specialist will actively monitor system performance, utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify potential bottlenecks, and execute swift, effective troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues to minimize downtime.

🎓 Essential Qualifications and Core Requirements

  • Academic Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field is a fundamental requirement.
