Job Summary

The Marketing Officer is an essential position within Union Bank's commercial efforts. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in the visibility and adoption of the bank's diverse range of financial products and services. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, market analysis, and creative execution to effectively communicate the bank's value proposition to current and prospective customers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate for the Marketing Officer position will be responsible for a variety of high-impact marketing and commercial activities:

  • Strategic Campaign Development: Developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies and targeted campaigns designed to attract and acquire new customers across various segments of the bank’s target market.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating effectively with various departments—such as Product Development, Sales, and Corporate Communications—to ensure seamless integration and alignment of all marketing initiatives with the bank’s broader strategic goals.
  • Market Intelligence and Analysis: Conducting in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and evolving customer needs. This analysis will inform the development of highly relevant and differentiated banking solutions.
  • Promotional Event and Campaign Coordination: Coordinating and overseeing a range of promotional activities, including physical events, digital engagement across social media platforms, and targeted advertising campaigns, to maximize brand visibility and product awareness.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

  • Academic Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.

  • Professional Experience (Advantageous): Prior professional experience in a marketing or sales capacity, particularly within the financial services sector, is considered a significant advantage.
