The SAP Young Professionals Program

The SAP Young Professionals Program is a complimentary initiative offered by SAP's Digital Skills Center. This intensive, two-month program is meticulously designed to equip recent university graduates with both the globally-recognised SAP certifications and the essential soft skills necessary to launch a successful career as an SAP Associate Consultant.

Upon successful completion of the training, SAP commits to closely collaborating with the graduates, actively introducing them to a wealth of job opportunities within the extensive SAP ecosystem, including SAP customers and partners, for roles as an SAP Consultant.

The Role of an SAP Consultant

The multifaceted role of an SAP Consultant generally comprises two main functions: Functional and Technical.

The Consultant is expected to contribute their expertise across key phases of an S/4 HANA project, specifically in blueprinting, design, implementation, operation, optimization, and upgrade. Their responsibilities include:

  • Providing business process and functional expertise.
  • Offering project guidance to clients to ensure their strategic investment in SAP software and consulting services translates into making their business a best-run business.
  • Maintaining an exceptionally high degree of customer satisfaction across all accounts.
  • Cultivating and developing referenceable customers through meticulous investigation, analysis, consulting, coaching, knowledge transfer, and proactive relationship-building efforts.

SAP’s End-to-End (E2E) Business Processes represent the seamless, complete journey of a business function, ensuring continuous, intelligent workflow across departments—integrating areas like sales, supply chain, finance, procurement, and HR. The Consultant’s work helps clients eliminate data silos, inefficiencies, and bottlenecks by leveraging these integrated processes.

Yearly, professionals from all works of life in Nigeria research for the right schools for an MBA degree. While some take to full-time MBA programmes, others opt for Part-time or distance-learning MBA degree. In my own view, it is better to opt for an Online or Part-time MBA course than the full-time.
