Role Description

The Sales Coordinator will assume a central and essential function in advancing sales performance and promoting Contec Global’s agricultural products and services.

This position necessitates comprehensive support for the sales and marketing teams through meticulous planning, coordination, communication, and the strategic execution of marketing initiatives. The overarching objective of the role is to significantly increase market share, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive revenue growth within the competitive agro industry sector.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of critical duties, segmented as follows:

Sales Coordination

  • Supporting the sales team in the achievement of set targets through effective coordination, diligent lead management, and accurate sales reporting.
  • Maintaining and ensuring the up-to-date status of customer databases, sales records, and performance metrics.
  • Assisting in the preparation of professional sales proposals, quotations, and compelling product presentations for prospective and existing clients.
  • Serving as a key liaison between the sales, logistics, and finance departments to guarantee the timely product delivery and efficient order processing.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and analyzing sales forecasts to proactively ensure consistent product availability.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Building and maintaining robust, professional relationships with both existing and potential clients, including farmers, distributors, and agro-dealers.
  • Handling all customer inquiries promptly, providing detailed product information, and ensuring consistently high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Systematically gathering valuable customer feedback to facilitate continuous improvement of products and services.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Preparing regular, comprehensive sales and marketing reports for management review and strategic decision-making.
  • Tracking the performance of marketing campaigns and providing actionable recommendations for enhanced Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Offering key insights on market dynamics, prevailing pricing trends, and relevant customer behavior patterns.

Marketing and Promotion

  • Planning and executing targeted marketing campaigns, successful product launches, and participation in agro exhibitions to effectively promote the company’s brand and offerings.
  • Conducting thorough market research to identify critical customer needs, emerging industry trends, and the activities of competitors in the agro industry.
  • Developing and managing engaging social media content, optimizing online advertising campaigns, and creating impactful promotional materials.
  • Coordinating branding, advertising, and communication efforts to ensure alignment with the overarching company strategy.
  • Supporting the creation of informative brochures, engaging newsletters, and digital content that effectively showcases agricultural products and services.

Qualifications and Requirements

Prospective candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, or an equivalent related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with CRM tools.
  • Proven ability to multitask, meet strict deadlines, and effectively work collaboratively across diverse teams.
  • Flexibility to undertake necessary travel to field locations and client sites as dictated by business needs.
  • A minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a sales and/or marketing role, with a strong preference for experience within the agro or FMCG sector.
  • A strong, demonstrable understanding of agricultural products, markets, and supply chains.
  • Possession of excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from N100,000 to N150,000 Monthly.
